  • For over 20 years, he has served as senior legal advisor in numerous areas of the Saudi legislative and regulatory process, while playing a key role in drafting the Saudi Foreign Investment Law, the privatization of the Saudi Electric Company, advising on energy and power issues in the Saudi-WTO treaty establishment and developing Saudi commercial law.

After Graduating from Harvard Law and an Associateship with Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Washington DC, Motasem worked as the Senior Legal Advisor to the Minister of Industry and Electricity in Riyadh from 1996-2000.

In addition, he founded the Motasem Khashoggi Law firm in 1997 which remains one of the leading legal practices in Saudi Arabia today, principally advising Government and Sovereign institutions with regards to the transition of the Kingdom’s infrastructure and business environment.
For over 20 years, he has served as senior legal advisor in numerous areas of the Saudi legislative and regulatory process, while playing a key role in drafting the Saudi Foreign Investment Law, the privatization of the Saudi Electric Company, advising on energy and power issues in the Saudi-WTO treaty establishment and developing Saudi commercial law.
He is currently the Founder & Managing Partner of Motasem Khashoggi Law Firm and Chairman of Khashoggi Holding Co.

Motasem is a member of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce Committee of Law, the Arab Lawyers Association, the International Lawyers Association, and the Young Presidents Association.

Motasem is also the chairman of the Investment Commitee
