Operational Strategy

The Food District Company focuses on a strategic restaurant mix, primarily situating fine dining and casual outlets in affluent cities like Riyadh while concentrating QSR outlets in areas such as Abha and Jeddah. Our brand mix includes both established local brands with viable growth and international brands new to the Kingdom. We aim to introduce these brands to the market and expand local F&B groups through various structures like joint ventures, franchising, and area development agreements.

Restaurant Mix

The bulk of the planned restaurant outlets will mainly reside in Riyadh due to its compelling fundamentals although The Food District Company will be selective in allocation of specific food-service styles.

Fine Dining outlets will be concentrated in relatively affluent & densely populated cities such as Riyadh in addition to most of the casual outlets as the city remains underserved in the Casual Dining segment when compared to Jeddah (JLI Report, The future of foodservice in Saudi Arabia)

QSR outlets will be highly concentrated in smaller areas such as Abha in Asir & mainly Jeddah due to a more established QSR presence & strong consumer favouritism towards local brands
